James Wilson - Chartered Accountant & Financial Planner
James established Proactive Tax and Business Services in 1998 and set about building a strong focused team. Originally from Adelaide James and wife Catriona were drawn to the amazing lifestyle offered by the region including skiing, water sports and bush walking.
As Managing Director of Proactive, over the past 18 years James has helped the business grow to the team of 10 that it is today. James qualified as a Chartered Accountant and has recently added a Diploma of Financial Planning to his repertoire.
James and Catriona and their two very active children Liam (a dancer) and Hayley (a skateboarder) love to travel, enjoy the outdoors and are involved in many local community projects including Youth activities, the Arts and operation of the Mansfield Armchair Cinema.
Tim Ross - CPA Accountant
Tim moved to Mansfield area in 2007 and has been a part of the team at Proactive Tax ever since. He is married to pharmacist Nicole and they have two wonderful young sons.
Tim is part of a number of community organisation’s including Mansfield & District Community Bank and Fords Creek Landcare Group. He has previously been a member of Mansfield Shire Audit Committee and Treasurer of Beolite Village Limited.
In his spare time he enjoys taking to the road as one of the many keen cyclists in the community.
Amy Chandler - CPA Accountant
Amy re located to Mansfield in 2010 from the Goldfields region and joined the Proactive team. Over that time Amy has met so many wonderful members of our Community, including fiancé Simon and together they have cemented their future in Mansfield.
Together with Simon they have 2 fur babies, Whippets Lili and Nugget, who keep them entertained and on their toes and if that’s not enough will soon be fostering greyhounds, so stay tuned for that adventure.
In her spare time Amy likes to stay fit and plays netball for the Mansfield Eagles, where she was also Treasurer for 4 years. She currently holds the position of Treasurer & Director for the Mansfield & District Community Bank.
Amy enjoys working at Proactive as everyone works together as one strong unit, it is a team in every sense of the word.
Haley Tudor-Harrop - Chartered Accountant & GAICD
Haley has been in Mansfield since 2003 and spent her childhood holidaying in the area, she joined the Proactive team in 2014 and hasn’t looked back. She enjoys working with the varied client base at Proactive Tax and being a part of a very talented team of people, the coffee is a big draw card too!
Haley and John have two daughters and one son, who is often sitting at the team meeting table enjoying the attention he gets.
The Community is a part of her life and she has held a number of voluntary roles within the community including Mansfield & District Community Bank, previously MACE Inc, MACCRO Inc and Lake Mountain Alpine Resort Management Board.
Haley and family enjoy the great outdoors spending many a summers’ day out on the lake enjoying all that it has to offer and thrive on watching it fill up.
Selena joined the Proactive team in 2003. She enjoys spending time with her son Dylan has a love of anything outdoors, cooking, watching movies and having a go at anything new.
Selena lends her hand to a number of organisation’s around Mansfield including St Mary’s fundraising committee and the Mansfield Netball and Football Club as their Club Merchandising guru.
The amazing ‘team’ factor at Proactive, the team and the clients make it a fantastic place to work. Selena along with Joan act as our resident barista's, a quality valued by many in the team.
Selena enjoys extending herself professionally and is currently studying her Bachelor of Business Accounting with Swinburne University.
Joan has been at Proactive since 2008 and still enjoys learning new skills and taking the opportunities that are presented to her. She values the mix of technology, team work and the people she gets to interact with on a daily basis whether be another team member or one of our valued clients, each day is interesting and she looks forward to the future with Proactive.
Joan and family have called Mansfield home for many many years and like many of our team members enjoys getting out into the great outdoors, whether be in her garden, with her bees, further afield on foot or on a bike or even a bit of Tai Chi.
Magda joined the Proactive Tax team in 2011 and having a strong desire of lifelong learning saw Magda commence her Bachelor of Business (Accounting) to strengthen her knowledge and career in November 2015.
Magda is grateful to be a part of the fabulous team here at Proactive Tax, very much her second family.
Annie has been an integral part of the Proactive team since 2008. What she enjoys most about being a part of Proactive Tax is that it’s the first time she has ever worked with a group of people who truly work as a team. The detail to inclusion with consideration to, and for, each person is refreshing and makes for an encouraging and positive place to work.
In Annie’s time away from the office she maintains a small rural property and enjoys gardening, sewing and making preserves and has a keen interest in antiques and collectables. Annie is an active member of the St John’s community in Mansfield and loves her two Chihuahua’s, Pearl and Maggie who are great mates and provide plenty of love and much pleasure.
If Annie were to win Tatt’s she would buy a pure bred Andalusian horse and pick up where she left off training horses ten years ago.
Brodie, like many of the team, decided to make a tree change to Mansfield in 2014 and joined the Proactive team on a part time basis and since has started full time.
In her free time Brodie enjoys camping, wake boarding, spending time with family and friends and taking her dog Jett down to the lake for a swim and a play.
Brodie values the team culture at Proactive which makes coming to work easy and enjoyable.
Natasha and her family have holidayed in the district for some 38 years and decided to make the move permanent in 2009. Natasha and her husband Ashley along with their 4 children value all that the district has to offer, from incredible views, space, snowfield and water and say there is no other place they would rather live.
Natasha joined the Proactive team in 2011 and although her position is very different to her past career, she thoroughly enjoys working as a part of the Proactive team.
Glynis first made the move to Mansfield in the year 2000, where she and her son enjoyed the wonderful outdoor Mansfield lifestyle, including their horses and pony club along with all of their pets menagerie, rabbits, guinea pigs and adorable dogs. Glynis made a short return to Melbourne for a few years when her son attended university and returned to Mansfield in 2014, with her menagerie now reduced down to her two adorable fur babies, Alfie and Talloulah.
Glynis joined the Proactive Team in 2017 on a full time basis and loves the team support which makes coming to work an enjoyable experience everyday.
