James Wilson
Chartered Accountant & Financial Planner
James established Proactive Tax and Business Services in 1998 and set about building a strong focused team. Originally from Adelaide, James and wife Catriona were drawn to the amazing lifestyle offered by the region including skiing, water sports and bush walking. As their children move further into adulthood, they plan to combine the enjoyment of travel with a work/life focus which will see them being part of the business for many years to come. As Managing Director of Proactive, over the past 22 years James has helped the business grow to the team of 12 that it is today. James completed his Bachelor of Economics from the Adelaide University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1987. He sees education as a way of life rather than a final destination, and over the years has completed training in Business Development skills and more recently has added a Diploma of Financial Planning to his repertoire. James and Catriona and their two very active children Liam (a dancer) and Hayley (a skateboarder) love to travel, enjoy the outdoors and are involved in many local community projects including Youth activities, the Arts and operation of the Mansfield Armchair Cinema – a not-for-profit community social enterprise which offers School Based Apprenticeships to local Secondary College students. Being involved in the hospitality industry for 30 years, the cinema industry for 12 years and on the board of the Adelaide Arcade, James is able to frame his professional advice for clients with real and practical experience in business which goes well beyond running a busy accounting firm.
Tim Ross
CPA Accountant
Tim moved to the Mansfield area in 2007 and has been part of the team at Proactive Tax ever since. He is married to pharmacist Nicole, and they have two wonderful young sons. Tim enjoys being part of a vibrant and resourceful community, and has used his accounting skills to contribute to a range of local organizations. Not surprisingly, this contribution is often in the role of Treasurer. He is currently a committee member with the Mansfield Rudolf Steiner School & Kindergarten, the Mansfield & District Business Association, and the Mansfield Tennis Association. Tim is an keen and active member of the local cycling community. He has always enjoyed road cycling, but is slowly being drawn into mountain biking. He and his family love living in this beautiful area, and making the most of the bushwalking, camping and skiing on offer here.
Haley Tudor-Harrop
Chartered Accountant & GAICD
Haley has worked in public practice for over 20 years and enjoys working with a variety of clients with a speciality within the agrisector. Haley enjoys working with clients in a hands on practical way to ensure the running of their businesses and tax affairs is uncomplicated which is complemented by a forward looking approach to building their success. Continual learning is an important part of Haley’s career and in more recent years has graduated from Australian Institute of Company Directors and obtained her qualifications in financial planning – superannuation to assist clients with their planning for the future. Haley and her family live on a semi rural property in Mansfield and enjoy everything the area and community has to offer. Community is a large part of her life having been involved with the Community Bank – Mansfield & District since 2007 and the Community Bank National Council as an elected representative since 2016 along with roles with the Mansfield Kindergarten, MACE Inc, MACCRO Inc and Lake Mountain Alpine Resort Management Board.
Amy Clapham
CPA Accountant
Amy relocated to Mansfield in 2010 from the Goldfields region and joined the Proactive team. Over that time Amy has met so many wonderful members of our Community, including husband Simon and together they have cemented their future in Mansfield. Together with Simon they have 3 fur babies, whippets called Tiga, Flash & Izzy, who keep them entertained and on their toes, so stay tuned for their adventures. In her spare time Amy likes to stay fit and plays netball for the Bonnie Doon Bombers. She currently holds the position of Treasurer & Director for the Mansfield & District Community Bank. Amy enjoys working at Proactive as everyone works together as one strong unit, it is a team in every sense of the word.
Selena Wilson
Accountant (BBus Acc)
Selena has enjoyed living in beautiful Mansfield most of her life, joining the Proactive Team in 2003. She has recently completed her Bachelor of Business Accounting. Selena and son Dylan, share a home in Mansfield’s township, spending their spare time camping, hiking, skiing and exploring everything our stunning region has to offer. When she’s not counting numbers, you’ll also find her enjoying her kitchen cooking for her family & friends (guilty of a cookbook obsession) and has the very important gig of Proactive’s resident barista. Having volunteered with many community groups over the years, she is currently a committee member and hall hire coordinator of the 1st Mansfield Scouts. Selena has called Proactive Tax home for 20+ years “I still LOVE my job! Our team and clients create a really special place to work, which I am so grateful for".
Jacqui Becker
Assistant
Jacqui has recently made the move to Mansfield and boy has she made an impression! Jacqui is a fun loving, eccentric woman who brings her wealth of knowledge and experience to Proactive Tax...with a bang! Outside of accounting, Jacqui is quite the expert on all things 'food & wine'. Jacqui moonlights at the local Cellar Door where she can guide you through local wine tastings. Jacqui enjoys all Mansfield has to offer. She loves the live music and other community events, which are quickly making Mansfield feel like 'home'.
Kasey Hempenstall
Director of First Impressions
Kasey joined the Proactive administration team in 2019 with over five years experience in administrative roles. She has her Certificate III in Business Administration. Kasey brings extensive knowledge of all things admin and has been a pivotal part of our team. Kasey is at our front desk 5 x days per week and offers assistance to all clients…with a smile! When at home, Kasey enjoys spending time with her husband Andrew and two children, Lara and Barry. They enjoy bike riding, cooking, watching movies and appreciate all that the High Country has to offer. Kasey is also part of the local ‘MAD Orchestra’, she plays the clarinet!
Anne Williamson
Director of First Impressions
Annie has been an integral part of the Proactive team since 2008. She finds working at Proactive an encouraging and positive place to work and the ever-changing modern technology available to us is an amazing tool to work with. As part of the administration team, she enjoys assisting our clients with their queries and requests. Annie and the rest of the front desk team all endeavour to make a visit to Proactive Tax a pleasant and rewarding experience for both clients and our staff. Annie’s time away from the office is spent maintaining a small rural property and has found hidden abilities like fencing and using a tractor & chainsaw quite rewarding! She enjoys gardening and has a keen interest in antiques and collectibles. She has two Chihuahua’s, Pearl and Maggie, who are great mates and who also provide plenty of love and much pleasure.
Rachel Parsons
Client Services Director
Rachel started at Proactive Tax back in 2006 when she was with us full time. Then for family reasons she had a “gap year” and has now re-joined the team working on accounts and admin 2 days a week. Rachel has a wealth of knowledge regarding our clients and office procedures along with the day to day running of our office and is a valuable member of our admin team. When not in the office, she can be found working on her family farm in Maindample with her 2 young sons, Angus and Ollie. They enjoy all things farming, outdoors and tennis during the warmer months.
Bec Mills
Client Services Director
Bec joined Proactive in 2018, forming part of our administration team and taking care of all things corporate secretarial. She first made the move to Mansfield in 2015 after 4.5 years travelling and working around Australia with her husband, there was no other place that compared and offered the wonderful outdoor lifestyle like Mansfield. Now with 3 children in tow, life can be pretty busy, but most weekends are spent camping, bush walking or hanging out with her horses at home. Bec enjoys her time at work “it really does feel like a little family”.
Deanne Dolheguy
Administration & Trainee accountant
Deanne joined the Proactive Team as she is currently studying her Bachelor of Accounting. You will see Deanne's bright smiles on reception a few days a week between studying and other commitments...she never stops! Deanne is a hardworking young woman who, in her time away from Proactive, works at the Armchair Cinema & The Delatite Hotel. Deanne is also a super star equestrian! In her 'spare' time, she is busy training her horses and competing in eventing at a National level. We are very lucky to have Deanne on our team and can see already that she is going to be an amazing Accountant!
